Minecade is a digital puzzle game. The game follows the classic Minesweeper style. The main objective is to identify all of the safe cells on the grid. To win the game, the player must dodge the buried mines.
To interact with the grid, the player touches the cells. Touching a cell will reveal that cell. If a cell includes a mine, the game is over. If the cell is empty, a number will appear. This number indicates how many mines are in adjacent cells. Including diagonally adjacent cells. An empty cell means there are no adjacent mines. You can mark cells that you suspect contain mines. Holding a cell for a long time will place a flag. To win, discover all the safe cells without touching any mines.
Numbers are the key to your success. A clue 1 next to only one diagonally covered tile means that the covered tile is a mine. You can safely mark it. If the number of a tile equals the total number of adjacent covered tiles, then all of those tiles are mines. If a tile has a flag equal to its number, then all other adjacent tiles are safe. More advanced strategies involve visualizing the scenarios. Knowing the total number of mines on the board (10 for beginners, 40 for intermediates, 99 for experts) can help reveal safe spots by process of elimination.
